Surah Yaseen is the 36th Surah of the Quran. The meaning of the word “Yaseen,” is unknown. Although many meanings have been suggested, it is Allah who knows best. It warns those who refuse to believe in God and mock God. It emphasizes the Quran as coming from a divine source.

“Whoever reads Surah Yaseen at the beginning of the day, all his needs for that day would be fulfilled.”

Our Prophet Muhammad PBUH states another incredible advantage of reciting Surah Yasin:

Whoever reads Surah Yaseen, Allah rewards him that is equal to that of reading the whole Quran.” Reference: Tirmidhi 2812/A

اس سورہ کا نام جناب آقائے نامدار، رحمتہ للعالمین حضرت محمد ﷺ کے نام پر ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے قرآن پاک میں یٰسین کہہ کے آپ ﷺ کو مخاطب فرمایاہے۔ حدیث مبارک میں ارشاد ہے کہ “ہرچیز کا ایک دل ہوتا ہے اور ایسے ہی قرآن مجید کا دل سورہ یٰسین ہے”

سورہ یٰسین کے فضائل بیان کئے جائیں تو اس پر کئی کتابیں لکھی جا سکتی ہیں۔ یہاں پر رمضان المبارک کے پیش نظر سورہ یٰسین کے چند فضائل بیان کئے جا رہے ہیں تاکہ ہر مسلمان اس بابرکت مہینہ میں ان اعمال سے فائدہ مند ہو سکے۔

رحمت دو جہاں ، نبی پاک ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ “جو شخص ہر رات کو سورہ یٰسین کی تلاوت کرے گا ، اگر وہ فوت ہوا تو شہید کا رتبہ پائے گا۔ جو صبح کے وقت تلاوت کرے گا تو اس کے لیے آسانی اور فراخی کر دی جائے گی۔ اور اگر بھوکا اس کی تلاوت کرے تو وہ سیر ہو جائے گا۔
